4 killed in an accident on the national road in Kanpur; 1 critical person
In a tragic incident, four people lost their lives in a road accident on a trunk road near the village of Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh in Kanpur. The crash was caught on CCTV where a white car can be seen colliding with a tanker truck on the national highway that connects Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
According to sources, one person was seriously injured in the accident, while four others were killed instantly. The occupants of the car were residents of Deoria town in Uttar Pradesh and they were on their way to Kanpur.
3 people killed in road accident in Bhadohi
In a similar incident, an SUV collided with a truck early on May 18, killing three and injuring 15 others. Police informed that the SUV was transporting a wedding party from Pakri village to Amvakhurd village when the accident happened.
Locals rushed the injured to the Maharaja Balwant Singh government hospital in the district from where 7 were referred to a trauma center in Varanasi. Police said the condition of some of those referred to Varanasi is critical.
Underage woman among 3 killed in road accident in UP’s Hardoi
Three people, including a woman and her minor son, were killed while five others were injured when their auto-rickshaw collided with a dump truck on May 11, police said. The injured were rushed to the district hospital while police sent the bodies for autopsy, they said.
Police officials said the accident happened on the Katra-Bilhaur highway below the boundaries of the district’s Harpalpur police station. The truck driver and helper fled the scene after the crash, police said. Murti Devi, 30, and her son Sachin, 8, were among three people killed in the crash. A complaint has also been filed, police added.
